This work begins where the authority of a finished object ends. It does not aim to complete a singular, enclosed form, but rather to open a space where presence and absence delicately balance. It closely reflects my current position as an artist. At this moment, I experience myself as a deferred identity, suspended, undefined. This embodied sense of liminality emerges through the repetition and structure within my work. I refer to it as a sculpture poised at the threshold, just before meaning congeals.
MDF is typically used as an intermediate material, never intended to be seen. By placing it at the centre, I embrace the possibility of its exclusion from the art market in advance. Through this gesture of resistance, my sculptural liminal space is not defined but sensed, present, but not yet named.
